Lauryn is an MFT student studying to become a licensed marriage and family therapist. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), in 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Fine Arts with a concentration in drawing, painting, and printmaking. During her time at UNLV, Lauryn worked in a sports psychology research lab focusing on optimization of the self with a variety of child and adolescent populations, as well as founded an art-based social organization for students.
Outside of her educational experience, Lauryn has also spent her time as a registered behavior technician for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), an instructional aide for high school students with a need for learning supports, and a qualified intellectual and developmental disabilities professional (QIDP)/independent services coordinator (ISC) for individuals of all ages and varying diagnoses.Lauryn's experiences working with such a variety of populations across her educational and professional career so far has instilled in her a drive to try to make a difference in the lives of any individual, regardless of their background and what they bring to therapy. With a preference towards Experiential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Lauryn utilizes a trauma-informed approach with the intention of aiding individuals in increasing a sense of safety, self-advocacy, and hope within themselves.
