Johnisha - PhD-Candidate

Johnisha is a dedicated mental health professional and Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University. With over a decade of experience in vocational rehabilitation counseling, she specializes in supporting individuals with disabilities through career development, life skills training, and clinical assessment. Her background includes roles with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Easterseals, and community-based organizations, where she has championed inclusive practices and individualized support for diverse populations.

Johnisha’s academic and professional journey is rooted in a passion for advocacy, leadership, and education. She is particularly skilled in program development, counseling supervision, and collaborative service coordination. In addition to her clinical work, she brings experience in higher education as a doctoral teaching assistant, where she mentors future counselors and contributes to curriculum planning.
